First Day

Well, today was the first day of work. There were lots of papers to sign, and lots of stuff to read (including the entire movie script). No maya yet.
I met almost all the animation team and went out with a couple of them for lunch. They’re cool people. And they’re good animators. I’m not worried, per-say, but I know that the team has really high standards, and watching some of their stuff made me apprehensive…I really hope I can meet that level of quality.

Seriously though, the studio seems to hold it’s artists in high regard, which is good. They make sure your desk fits you and that if you need any accessories that you get them. Stuff like that just makes you feel welcome. Not to rag on Wild Brain at all, I mean I like Wild Brain, but there were no illusions there about my job being temporary.

So I’m going to try to get a little more sleep tonight, and tomorrow hopefully I’ll get to play with the rig.

Hope you get to play with the rig soon…would love to hear a bit about their setup (if you aren’t under NDA or something).
